Syncronizing audio using Cool Edit Pro ?

i am using cool edit pro v2.1 to create an FM/AUD matrix of a show on behalf of a friend. source a was originally recorded on a cassette, then xferred to a DAT. souce b was recorded directly to DAT. i had to pad source a with a few seconds of silence at the beginning to get both sources to line up. when i play back, they fall out of alignment and it appears to get worse as it plays. my best guess is there were speed issues on the original cassette. is that possible to correct using cool edit, and if so, can someone point me to a tutorial or else 'splain it to me? thanx in advance. the show is prob widely circulated, but i will torrent here if there is interest. its fogerty w/ jerry, bob...and others 5-89. runs about 45 min. the sources are FM and a nice aud tape.

and bababooey to you all...and i love ya in a non faggot way
