It just seems strange. Yet I say that as someone who knows that others know tons more about this stuff than I do.
The .ts videos (MPEG-2 & MPEG -4) which I've seen all feature exquisite video quality: incalculably better video than any VIDEO_TS files which I've seen.
This is why, out of curiosity, I'm asking this question.
