http://electricladyland.synology.me might be a viable alternative for the stuff unacceptable at Dime? The site is usually slow to connect, but fully functional. It's not exclusively a Hendrix tracker either, barely at all, in fact.
I'm still confused, though. That 3gb torrent (it's the Stones In Color DVD, btw, added today) is still running perfectly - no errors, red flags or any sign that anything is wrong - so I'll ask again - why must TTD close?
