Taking a feed of today's VAN HALEN Press Conference and making a DVD and/or torrent of it???
You guys are computer geniuses (in my eyes).
How would I take todays historic Van Halen press conference and 1. save it to the comp? 2. burn a dvd of it? 3. make a torrent of it? Edit: a better feed right here. Whenever it is streaming the answer is probably no. And when it's a couple of hardrock has-been's the answer certainly is no.

Rags, I'm not sure if it would help, but you may want to take a look around videohelp.com. They have tons of tutorials and you may find an application for grabbing the stream there.
