dvd burning in mac
excuse me for my ignorance... haven't been able to figure this out based on other threads. I just switched to mac, and I've been using toast to burn dvds. Usually works fine... just drag the video ts folder and I'm good to go, but when I try to drag some of the video ts folders in, it says that the dvd is encrypted and I need decryption software. I understand mactheripper will decrypt actual dvds, but how do I make it possible to burn these folders?

Re: dvd burning in mac
after using "mac the ripper" (he create 2 new folders, audio_ts & video_ts)
drag those 2 new folders into toast, burn 'em as "DATA" -> DVD-ROM (UDF FORMAT) ready

Re: dvd burning in mac
You could try the following but you will also need MacTheRipper (MTR)
Originally posted on videohelp.com; Quick Trick: Take the VIDEO_TS folder into Toast 7 [or 8] under the Data Tab, select DVD-ROM (UDF) Drag and Drop your VIDEO_TS there. Watch the Content slider, if it remains Green, your ok. if not, change it from DVD to DVD DL. Go file--> Save as Disc Image. Target ample space on your computer to save the build. Click ok. Once the .toast image is built, and complete, double click the image to mount in Toast. Toast will mount this as an Actual DVD. Launch MTR, re-rip DVD to a new location on your computer. I had this same issue and I posed this question over at videohelp.com and the above was the answer i recieved. It worked very well for me. Hope this helps you out. No members have liked this post.

Re: dvd burning in mac
Sweet, thanks. Burning it as a dvd-rom probably would have worked but I went the extra step and created a new image and it worked fine.
