Flac decoder for Mac with batch processor?
Does something like this even exist? Like many of you probably, have a ton of shows on my hard drive that need to be decoded from FLAC to .aiff to burn to CD. Is there a good FLAC decoder for Mac that has a batch processor function, so I can do this once and come back in an hour and have them all ready to burn instead of doing them all individually?

Re: Flac decoder for Mac with batch processor?
I have both of those and can't figure out the batch processor if it has one. Seems like they both can only do one folder of songs at a time.
Edit: Will check the FAQ too. No members have liked this post.

Re: Flac decoder for Mac with batch processor?
with xACT, if you highlight all the files in the folder and drag them to the decode window [don't use the "Add" button], then do the same for each of the following folders it'll run all of em

Re: Flac decoder for Mac with batch processor?
Won't it decode them all in one folder though? I was hoping there'd be something where I could direct all the files into individual folders

Re: Flac decoder for Mac with batch processor?
yes, it'll all go to one destination folder...as for decoding to separate folders, never really needed to do that so i ain't familiar with a program that will...i don't believe xACT or XLD can do that at this time

Re: Flac decoder for Mac with batch processor?
I let it get way too bad with the shows sitting on my hard drive, but I think this will still be a faster solution than doing them show by show

Re: Flac decoder for Mac with batch processor?
You know you can play those flac files on your Mac and not have to burn them all to a CD in order to listen to them, right? I can't even recall the last time I actually burned an audio CD. I either listen to shows on my Mac or put them on my iPod and play them in my car that way.

Re: Flac decoder for Mac with batch processor?
Xact will decode em all then you will HAVE TO make (or remake) separate folders for each show if that is your thing....one mistake I made a while back was throwing a ton of files with titles like track1 in and then realizing I didn't know which show I had decode without listening...now I only do "batches" of files after I make sure the files have discreet names.
I mostly burn with BURN for mac or and if I am making gifts sometimes I use iTunes to burn .aiffs

Re: Flac decoder for Mac with batch processor?
I use Cog to play the files on my computer. You can find a link for it here - Freeware Software Links. Look Inside If You're Stuck!

Re: Flac decoder for Mac with batch processor?
I can play FLAC fine on my computer - and probably could on my iPod with a plug in, but space is at a premium on my iPod and most of my non-torrent collector friends trade iN CDs still, so I need to burn them
I did the thing last night where it dumped them all in a folder, which was fine What wasn't fine is that it didn't put them in order. So now I have all my track 1s together, all the track 2's, etc. So I don't know how much time that saved after I figure out what goes where. No members have liked this post.

Re: Flac decoder for Mac with batch processor?
and that is why batch conversions are simply not the way to go....I have even had some titled files that end up not having titles after conversion...
Track 1 Brown Sugar goes in and Track 1 comes out...annoying hassle
