Transfer Time Between Internal Hard Drives
It seems to be taking an age to transfer shows between some of my internal hdds at the moment. In prep for a large trade, I'm moving flac show folders from several of my hdds into one for storage then burning.
I'm sure transferring even a folder with 700-800mb only took a couple of minutes. It can now take ten minutes plus. You know, things have been really bad on my pc since I loaded SP3... No members have liked this post.

Re: Transfer Time Between Internal Hard Drives
Check if your HDs have UDMA selected, and not PIO.

Re: Transfer Time Between Internal Hard Drives
lol - found the problem. As I have four hdds and most of them have partitions, I failed to notice that the partition I was transferring to was on a hdd I suspect to be on the way out. What a f**king knobhead. :-)
I can see a new internal hdd and a couple of externals coming up this weekend... Thanks for the reply anyway Pawel - mine are all UDMA. No members have liked this post.

Re: Transfer Time Between Internal Hard Drives
I had noticed a few problems recently, but forgot that partition "drive:L" was on the same hdd as ":K" (problem partition). Yeah, braincells, who needs 'em?
