CSB battery box only works on filter now
I've been running the same CSB battery box for 3+ years and I went to do a test with it on flat and there's no signal. The filter still works, which is my preference anyway. Just wondering why this would happen.

Re: CSB battery box only works on filter now
Not there to see it but, my guess is a worn out (or corroded contact(s) or etc) with the dpdt (been a while since I use the terms and may be off on it) switch used to change from rolloff to flat. A dpdt (double pole - double throw) is a kind of "double switch" that turns one side off while turning the other side on so, you got multiple contacts in there. You can check it out with a VOM and with a soldering gun and a few minor tools you can change it out.
BTW-are you referring to a battery box for the Core Sound Stealth Mics? I have an extra from accidently tossing the dammed mics into the trash!!! (bad move but...lol) also another potential problem with those things are in having the mic plugin to the battery box loosen up, it has wasted a recording with total sound cutoffs and very loud "pops" ....let me know.... They're the stealth mics. I won't need a new battery box, and there's no corrosion, just curious why it would happen. I only use the filter so as long as it works I'm good with that
