Audio sampling rate and bit depth preferences
This may be a very basic question, but...
If I've made a very nice concert recording in 96kHz/24-bit, is the general preference these days to seed a 96/24 version, or do most people still prefer the convenience of 44/16 (or 48/16) or is it best to post the 96/24 AND a 44/16 (or 48/16, or 48/24), or is that considered clutter... or maybe post the 44 (or 48!) and offer hi-res later if requested, or vice versa... I am indecisive, please advise. No members have liked this post.

Re: Audio sampling rate and bit depth preferences
As long as it’s recorded and worked on at high bit/sample rates, your ears won’t hear a difference once it’s 16/44. When offered both most will grab 16/44. But I think there’s nothing wrong with offering both or post one and wait for people to request the other

Re: Audio sampling rate and bit depth preferences
Standard procedure was to torrent both since 44/16 can be burned onto CD but with technology the way it is these days and hard drive space in the TB range, torrent the 96kHz/24-bit version and let the downloader down sample if needed.
