FLAC file names question
Hola...
1st off, sorry if this is a stupid question but I'm confused. I have lots of FLAC files but they show up as Untitled1, 2, etc. However, in my media player the actual track name is represented. My question is, is there a way to automatically rename these files to their proper names? Any help would be appreciated. Thank U No members have liked this post.

Re: FLAC file names question
That would be the flac file's "metadata". There are tools to display the information, and likely with some scripting, one could use that info to rename the source file.

Re: FLAC file names question
There are several programs that can use selected metadata to rename files, Tag&Rename and Advanced Renamer are two programs that I've used to do exactly what you want to do. Tag&Rename is a pay program, but older builds may be available as freeware/shareware.
Advanced Renamer is freeware. https://www.advancedrenamer.com/ Here is a list of other freeware file rename software: https://listoffreeware.com/list-of-b...name-software/ No members have liked this post.
