Is my ratio killed because of seedboxes?

Between here and Dime, I used to have ratios in the 3.0-6.0 range. But lately, even if I'm one of the first downloaders, I often end up with a ratio of 0.0 or not much better. My overall ratio has tanked on both sites. My internet speed shouldn't be the issue?

Download Mbps
518.91

Upload Mbps
322.11

I've just heard about seedboxes. Are those users just kicking my ass with sucha setup?

Re: Is my ratio killed because of seedboxes?

Seems to be the case. When I post a show I usually get not much more than the original MB/GB size of the folder now. Almost impossible to even get a 1:1 ratio if I download something unless it’s obscure enough that the seed box users stay away

Re: Is my ratio killed because of seedboxes?

Your ratio and internet speed is fine. If you want to improve your ratio then upload a new show.

The Traders Den is a dying site. There are very few leechers on torrents so there is nobody to upload to once you've downloaded it.

A seedbox won't help you here anyway.

the point I think is that seed box users are scooping up all the stats regardless of internet connection

Not really a problem here but a site like dime enforces ratio. A friend told me a certain mod fired off an angry email despite them trying their best

Re: Is my ratio killed because of seedboxes?

I've never used a seedbox and had no issues here raising my ratio over the past year. Just keep an eye on the seeding opportunities to reseed old torrents you've grabbed.

The mods at Dime are notorious dicks and have been the entire time I've been a member there, which is nearly 20 years now.

i know one thing, if i had to start again it sure as hell wouldn't be with vuze.
you need a damn degree in computer science to get that thing to work to your advantage.
bigly sucks too.
yeah, those mods at dime have no sense of humor whatsoever.
at least they do freebie days. if it wasnt for that they'd be a serious downer

I run a seedbox.
I'm not your enemy.
I'm not trying to "scoop up all your stats".
Trying to low key fulfill the strategic goals this community ostensibly espouses of "spreading the music far and wide."

The parachronism that "ratio" has become, is OUR enemy.
It had it's place, in the past...

You jump on all mine pretty quick and that's cool. Relieves the burden on my crappy upload speed!

I'm just shocked to find out you're a real person. I appreciate you jumping on so many of my torrents, since you aren't firewalled and help get them rolling.

I don't take issue with it - I've up'd more than I'll ever download, but I have seen users struggling to improve, that became upset. As mentioned help with all the firewalls too.

this desktop is from early 2015. not alot of problems to download stuff, just to upload torrents.
its a matter of tweaking the firewall, ports and all that shit of which i am ignorant.
not worried about it now, anyway, but a few seedboxers can be pricks, and they know who they are and i've complained to some.
and there are more pricks at dime than here.
can you imagine if they had all these forums there?
it would have crashed long ago...
