Is there a beginners thread?
Hey people
As a total torrent novice I have no clue about seeding or uploading. I now know that the numbers at the top of the page have something to do with seeding and I have 2 seed as much as I download. Which is cool but I downloaded a lot before I found this out, so what do I do there? Most of the treads I've looked at go on as though you should already know what they are talking about, which I obviously don't. So is there a thread that will explain all this like it's talking to a three year old? Cuz thats what I need. Thank U. P&BW. GW. No members have liked this post.

Re: Is there a beginners thread?
Have you read through some of our FAQ yet?

Re: Is there a beginners thread?
Hi - I'm also completely green. I'm trying desperately to try to understand how to share some files [I'm using bittorrent 6.0, and I have a few full shows in FLAC format]. In my stumbling attempts to get rolling, I'm stumped by the issue of 'tracker url' - is there a url associated with The Trader's Den that I could use? I've been reading faqs here and at Brian's....but I've yet to read anything that specifically explains what to do at this stage.
Sigh.....I don't even really know if this is a good question, but.....I'm trying.....I would really hate to be a leech.....Plz pardon my density If anyone has the patience to offer some advice, I'd really appreciate it. No members have liked this post.

Re: Is there a beginners thread?
Assuming it's an audio show you want to put up, our 'rules' for audio shows are here: http://www.thetradersden.org/forums/...item#faq_rules However, we also have a FAQ linked at the bottom of that which goes through the steps to create an audio torrent: http://www.thetradersden.org/forums/...faq_audioguide including a link to a pictorial guide to create a torrent: http://www.thetradersden.org/forums/...#faq_a_torrent I think the announce url is shown on all of those pages and is also on our upload page and at the top of the two torrent forums.
