Re: Help burning "Certain" Video
vision express is an authoring program. it is not for burning dvds.
it is trying to reencode the files and you don't have the proper codecs. use nero express. if you have vision express you have nero express.

Re: Help burning "Certain" Video
hmmm, maybe you don't have the full nero6 suite i guess...from Start Smart, it should be listed in the left pull-down "Applications"...if not, using Xpress will cause problems since it can't recognize an authored DVD's Video_TS structure...what its doing is "reauthoring" and basically screwing it up...
you could try making a DiscImage of the show and then burning that way No members have liked this post.

Re: Help Burning AVI
I've not had this problem, but I use VSO Divx to DVD for .avi conversions. It's damn slow (about 2x for the first conversion, then as slow as -2x for the 3rd or 4th conversioin onto the same DVD), but it does the job well.
It will most likely take you longer to convert and burn than to watch it... But it's an excellent program. Also, get some more airflow into your case, as this will heat it up a bit. I notice a jump of 15-20 degrees. Ambient room about 67 F, processor temp at about 100 F, during conversion it will jump to as much as 126 F. No worse than during .mp3 conversion, but it sits at the high temp for longer. No members have liked this post.

What is DVDf?
I d/l'd a DVD that is in DVDf format and it won't play on my DVD player? I thought the file might have been corrupted during the d/l so I trashed the file and d/l'd it again, and it still won't play? I get an error message from my DVD player that says it could not detect a valid video file. Can anyone help me out?

Re: What is DVDf?
Do you mean that the folder name ends in .dvdf? If so, that is just letting you know that that folder contains DVD Files.
Also, *deep breath* what program are you using to burn with? What kind of DVD are you burning it as (data/video)? Did it come with an .md5 file, and if so does it show all the files as passing their checksums? No members have liked this post.

Re: Video software
Quote:
It's posible to make a DVD (menus) from a VCD, keeping the original format. You can do it in TMPGEnc DVD Author. http://www.vcdgear.com serves for basic VCD manipulation. Nero is very good for burning VCD tracks in right order. No members have liked this post.

try right-clicking the file > Rename > change the ".bup" to ".vob"
