MKV to DVD?
Is there any real basic "for dummies" type tutorials to make some playable DVD's with chapters out of these webcasts I am grabbing at Dime, preferrably using freeware?

Re: MKV to DVD?
Personally I use MKV Toolnix [http://www.bunkus.org/videotools/mkvtoolnix/] to create chapters in MKV's. The only thing is you have to do that manually, you can find a manual on their website.

Re: MKV to DVD?
Webcasts are encoded in h264, while a DVD requires mpeg2. Thus you will need to re-encode video (to lower quality). AVStoDVD or DVDStyler are free tools for simple but good conversion.
