CyberSitter & Torrents
I run Azureus as my client, and had been having no problems at all for quite some time. Recently, my wife installed CyberSitter on the computer to keep the little ones "safe". Now I am having issues.
All of a sudden torrents are acting strange. They will download more info "by a couple of gigs even" than is is the actual file, but will never complete. Also, speeds seem to slow down very quickly now. What can I do? Does anyone know how to solve this problem without removing the CyberSitter? Brett No members have liked this post.

Re: CyberSitter & Torrents
Searching on Google...turned up no fixes other then disabling the software. Seems quite a few other people running BT and CyberSitter are having the same problem.

Re: CyberSitter & Torrents
Probably because most people associate bt with illegal music or video downloads or porn??
(whenever I tell people that I trade lots of music online they usually just assume that it's illegal, so I have to specifically tell people that there is such a thing as legal music downloads ...) No members have liked this post.

more importantly, does anyone know of any programs vaguely similar to CyberSitter that will not interfere with BT? it is very important to my wife for the computer and children to be protected, but very important to me to keep the music and dvds coming. basically we just need to block some specific sites and terms, not have alot of filtering going on. thanks for the help. brett No members have liked this post.

Re: CyberSitter & Torrents
Well, the music will last forever, and 50% of all marriages end in divorce... so if you gotta choose...
