Best tool for splitting one long track into smaller?
EDIT - Ignore me, I found the 'Export Multiple' option....
========================================================== I've done this a couple of times with Audacity, but found it quite cumbersome; Import large track Select area after first track split, and delete it Export the remainder to new track Repeat above two steps for each subsequent track Have I missed a tool within Audacity that will do this quicker, or is there a simpler tool out there? With a newer version of Audacity, it isn't that difficult anymore, IMHO.

I've used CD Wave for years to split my tracks.

Re: Best tool for splitting one long track into smaller?
Will this work one long video files as well?
I have a long video file and would like to split it up into smaller files. This may work by converting to Audio and then splitting it using CD Wave. Thank you for the input when received No members have liked this post.

Same here very easy to use, and does the conversion to FLAC when finished

Re: Best tool for splitting one long track into smaller?
This program is for audio only, and specifically .wav files. There are programs for splitting video out there but the overwhelming majority will re-encode them and create additional compression/data loss.
