Editing in Audacity
Hi,
I have one large .aiff bootleg file and I'm trying to cut it up into indivdual songs so I can eventually make them into seperate Flac files. Can Anyone help me? thanks, Jeff No members have liked this post.

go to file>preferences>quality and set it to 44100Hz 16bit
go to file>preferences>spectrograms and set max freq to 22500Hz hit ok go to view>set selection format>cdda now load up your big wav, trim by selecting and using the "delete" key, also there is effects>fade in and effects>fade out audacity is now set to snap to cdda sectors, so use ctrl+x to cut the first from the beginning, then paste (ctrl+v) into a new window & save as track 1. then go back and get track 2 etc etc. use xAct for pretty much everything else.
