Reducing wavs?
Can you reduce the size of .wav files? I've got some great lossless music, but they just won't fit on my mp3 player the size that they are (one double album is 1.5 gigs!)
Thanks for any suggestions No members have liked this post.

Re: Reducing wavs?
Which MP3 player do you have ? Some can play FLAC out of the box, some can have the Rockbox firmware installed (allowing FLAC playback amongst others) and iPods can use Apple Lossless. All these formats will allow you to compress the WAV files to around 50-60% of their original size.
Unless you have golden ears you're far better off using LAME MP3, iTunes or Nero AAC or Aoyumi's Vorbis tuning (depending on which codecs your player supports) at a decent quality bitrate. Your battery and/or HD will thank you for it.
