Legal Lineage
Can someone please confirm if this is a legal lineage.
Pre-fm> md > wav I am guessing the answer is probably no, because the pre-fm to md would be considered lossy. But i'm a little unsure as the hopes of a pre-fm>wav are non-existent. Thanks. No members have liked this post.

Re: Legal Lineage
Analog FM (uses amplitude compression) > Hi-MD (wav format=uncompressed) is allowed
Analog FM (uses amplitude compression) > ATRAC MD (a lossy codec) is not allowed Pre FM > Hi-MD (uncompressed) is allowed Pre FM > ATRAC MD (lossy codec) is allowed All new ATRAC MD recordings made after 1/1/2008 will not be allowed, as The Traders' Den is improving its standards. This gives people time to upgrade their gear to Hi-MD or WAV recorders, whose prices are coming down. No members have liked this post.

Re: Legal Lineage
thanks !!
I'm pretty sure it will be Analog Fm > atrac, so the answers no. Which is a shame but understandable. No members have liked this post.

Re: Legal Lineage
In your first post you said it would be pre fm > md, which would be allowed whether it is ATRAC or Hi-MD (wav)
