Packet sniffer.....Sandvine fix????
I found this freeware on line was hoping it could stop comcrap from messing up torrents. I'm not sure how to put it all together. http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/smsniff.html
Its not a firewall like previous fix: http://redhatcat.blogspot.com/2007/0...ith-wipfw.html This thread has info also: http://www.thetradersden.org/forums/...ad.php?t=47365 Maybe one of you tech people could work it out. Thanks.

Re: Packet sniffer.....Sandvine fix????
well.. its you against them & them against you.
considering they own and control the pipes at the headend - i wouldnt bother. kinda like when DOCSIS came to be.. a lot of us lost HUGE bandwidth. Im still not getting the bandwidth in Fios that I had in the early cable modem days. uncapping your modem/fighting sandvine is basically the same battle. one you wont win. vote with your $$ & find an ISP alternative. maybe a torrent client will mask traffic better.. but thats then & not now.
