Downloading Fonts
Where do you download fonts? And when you do, do you download them for your computer, so all applications would use them, or do you download fonts for individual applications?

Re: Downloading Fonts
Be cautious when searching for fonts...many sites that claim to have free ones are malicious. I scored a folder containing 2400 TrueType fonts one time from some sort of P2P site, but can't remember where.I'm on a PC so I just 'Install' them to the Windows/Fonts folder so they're available for all apps. I believe there is a limit to how many can be installed for Windows, but don;t know what that limit is.
Gee...I guess this isn't very helpful. Just be cool because I've corrupted the Fonts directory before and it is a NIGHTMARE to recover from...just FYI.

http://www.urbanfonts.com/ http://www.free-fonts.com/font/metal.html http://www.kfonts.com/ http://musiceffect.com/fonts/ http://www.stencilrevolution.com/resources/ I use FontFrenzy to manage my fonts. I just install the fonts I need & when I don't need them anymore I just use the defrenzy tool from Font Frenzy. The defrenzy tool removes all fonts except those originally came with XP. Font Frenzy doesn't delete permanently the fonts, it keeps them on PC. No members have liked this post.

Re: Downloading Fonts
Professionals tend to use a progamme called Suitcase for managing fonts.
Otherwise, why not just buy them. You're absolutely sure that you don't get a virus and you support the work of designers. I tend to use Fonthaus. No members have liked this post.

Re: Downloading Fonts
The metal fonts are good too, but they don't have all the band logos.
