				VirtualDub question

I have a song that I want to extract from a DVD. However, it's split over two "VOB" files.

I imagine VDub must have a way to select out the two pieces I want and join them together, but I'm at a loss to figure out how to do it. Anyone know? TIA. No members have liked this post.

You can use DVDShrink to cut out a piece of video from a DVD that spans multiple VOBs and it will do it without any loss as well.

If the DVD has chapters, you can extract the needed chapters using VOB Blanker. Then, using DGIndex, you can extract the songs.

If not, extract the audio using DGIndex, open the audio file in Audacity and cut/join the needed parts. (Audacity does not support for ac3 or mp2, but you can convert the audio file from those 2 formats into WAV with Belight & BeSweet) I don't have VirtualDub in my PC, but using VirtualDubMod, you can extract the audio like this: - select the needed parts with the two half arrows (last two buttons, from the left part, bottom of the screen) - then go to Streams -> Stream list -> Save WAV Sorry if you don't understand something. Kill, thanks for the info but I should have been more specific and indicated that I want to cut out a video portion of the original file (to post on YouTube).
