Re: compressed? again..
looks like it might be FM, TV or 32kHz DAT or maybe even lossy. I would have to see SA zoomed in to about 2 seconds to say more.

Re: compressed? again..
this looks really suspicious to me, but I can't see any blocks. Is this two seconds? I can't tell because the display is set to bpm.
check your pm...

Re: compressed? again..
Typical mp2-ish fuzziness all over the place. I'd say analog recording (--> noise floor) of audio from a digital radio or tv broadcast.

Re: compressed? again..
No kidding? Can you let me (us) know why you wouldn't say MP3 for sure? Is it because the drop is at around 15khz instead of 16khz? I need to do some more reading on FM I think....

Re: compressed? again..
ssamadhi97 means that this looks like an MP2 digital radio broadcast (lossy!) taped to analog which is why it looks lossy but we can't find the blocks when zoomed in. This is the best theory so far. I would love to hear a tracks to see if my ears can detect the lossy slurring sounds.

I'd like to have a short wav/lossless clip of that track to make "better" pics to illustrate this.. Until then, the pic I've attached will have to do. (sorry about the amateurish cropping, board wouldn't allow me to attach files > 620x280 O___o) No members have liked this post.
