Video Bitrate
I have a DVD that I recorded and authored.
I checked the video bitrate in G-Spot but the DVD has 3 .VOB files, each with a slightly different bit rate. VTS_01_1.VOB is 6407 kbps VTS_01_2.VOB is 6592 kbps VTS_01_3.VOB is 6828 kbps Should I list the lowest or highest? Should I add all 3 (19827) and take the avg (6609)? I have all the other info and synched audio from my CSB source and made it LCPM. This bitrate thing is the only stumbling block. Thanks ![]()

Re: Video Bitrate
Average is the most correct. It's better to check m*v file rather than VOBs, however, difference is usually negligible.

Re: Video Bitrate
Thanks for the reply
![]() I assumed the avg was correct but wanted to check to be sure. I am afraid I don't know what m*v file is. I was followin the faq for video uploading and it does not mention this and I couldn't find anything on google.

Re: Video Bitrate
VOB is a container, and when audio and video streams are separated (demuxed) you get:
* Video only, which has extension m2v or mpv * Audio: ac3, mp2 (or mpa), wav No members have liked this post.

Re: Video Bitrate
Thanks for the info-
Learn something new everyday ![]() (I didn't realize earlier that '*' was being used as a wild card- I was thinking "that is a really odd file name" LOL- my brain clearly did not have enough caffeine) I searched the archives here and found a post you made about MPEG Streamclip and ProjectX. Interesting stuff- looks like it will be very useful to me. More toys for my hobby ![]()
