Received error message:

Jimi Hendrix - The Collectors 1969 - Studio Private Related & Remixed Recordings.torrent:
Your file of 1.15 MB bytes exceeds the forum's limit of 488.3 KB for this filetype.

I thought about splitting it up, however:

"4. All torrents must contain a complete seed. Spanning a single set over multiple seeds is not permitted."

Please advise.

Yes.
Generated .torrent file 3 times, all exactly the same size.

How would rebooting change the size of a .torrent file?

What torrent software did you use to generate the file? Try another? If another client software generates a file that works you should still be able to use your client of choice to seed.

How many/how large are the files you are trying to seed in this torrent? Something is definitely not right here to have a 1.15mb .torrent file.

For reference - Beatles Complete A/B Road is 13.91gb/2187 files and is only a 304.2kb .torrent file.

The torrent in question is about the same GB with 1/4 as many files:
14.3 GB - 537 files

The 537 files are in one folder/directory.
Could that be the problem?
Is there a maximum number of files per folder/directory?

This question is important then.

On windows, I use TLH (trader's lil helper). If you are already using that program (or try this on any other program) - you should try adjusting the piece size to the maximum possible.

BINGO!!! We have a winner!

I use ruTorrent on a seedbox to make .torrent files.
Changed piece size from 256KB to 2MB > .torrent = 180KB
(piece size range is 32KB to 16MB)
