Dime has a shop that you can buy digital graphics of their logo with different amounts, and you can use your Amazon account to pay. Might be worth looking in to something similar, might be easier for some people.

The donate by credit card button doesn't work: "This button has been deleted." http://www.thetradersden.org/forums/contribute.php?

Re: The future of TTD Donations

Yeah, I've had a few folks send me PM's about this and I'm not sure what to do, or what's up with that... I can remember that paypal pulled our plug, and there have been other setbacks in ways for folks to contribute to server costs and whatnot. Although U2Lynne has backed off from day to day activities of running the site, she's very much still a part of the team, and *was* in charge of possibly collecting payments from folks who might have emailed her or sent her messages. Snail mail oldschool cheques?

Taken from right underneath that broken donate by credit card button...
Quote:
To contribute via cash, check or money order, please PM U2Lynne. A BIG thank you to everybody who contributes in anyway to this site. There are many ways that people contribute, not just through funding.

PayPal has frozen our account and Skrill won't allow us to take donations, so we are no longer able to take PayPal or Skrill donations. Please see this thread - The future of TTD Donations

I know that we need money to keep going. I don't really know details, but I can assume that in the not so distant future, TTD will need to do some server movement, and some development of a new updated site in order to survive long term. Something involved with that will cost some dough for sure. It would be nice to know that there's some funding set up so that we can really do this. I don't think we're in it for the money though - I feel like we're a non-profit society here, so, no t-shirt fundraisers, okay? LOL... But, yeah, not to inundate her with spam, but U2Lynne might be the one to ask about donations right now, still, yeah...

This issue of not being able to donate needs to be addressed. Somebody needs to be appointed who would look after the funding through donations in order to pay the sites costs. There must be other ways to make payments (bank transfers, e-transfers within Canada etc.). also the donations page needs to be maintained.
We don't want this site to go the way of ZOMB, do we? No money, no TTD!

I agree we need to look into getting donations back and I will look into this. We will likely need a influx of donations hopefully in the near future. I am currently working with a member that has some knowledge I am lacking in getting some software up and running to test and tinker. I hope that I can make some big changes and get us back on the track of updating the software operating the site and bring it forward into the next 20 years of existence.
